Home Room 02:03
Home Room Like the total eclipse of the sun You get just one glimpse and you’re done A head full of thoughts you resist A heart closed up tight as a fist And every word sticks in your throat When you’re strange And anywhere you go it feels the same What if you just blew away They never noticed you anyway A cast-iron lock on the truth A hundred years old in your youth And you can’t feel safe in your skin When you’re strange Till all around the world they feel the same

I Killed the Horizon Gone are the days of sitting up straight And trying to belong These are the days of sleeping in late And watching everything go wrong And trading naked ambition For a warm-blanket addiction Open up the window Let the sunlight kick around The dead air’s got me choking On these words Only I killed the horizon Only I drained the sea I’m trading naked ambition For a warm-blanket addiction

about

sumppumprecords Des Moines, Iowa

Sump Pump Records was founded in 1998 by Dan Hutchison, Brian Wiksell and Bill Heard. We released a vinyl 7" EP for Why Make Clocks in 1998 and a full-length CD for Chad O'Neall in 2000...then we got preoccupied w/our bands.

Now, it’s back to Dan and Tom Reelitz releasing records w/a DIY approach, by ourselves and other bands we love.
