Spontaneous Decomposition
walking around with nothing in mind
no idea it's about your time
a disease that is unknown and deadly
and will leave you in a pile melting
what it does to your body's a crime
leaves both nature and science aloof
rotting in an instant puddle on the floor
bubbling flesh and bones left to fester
no pain is felt, so fast
skin and muscles congeal into a mess
no thoughts go through your head
before there was time, already dead
the acid comes bursting from ever pore
arms, legs and face melt below the door
into the hallway your neighbor slips in the shit
they say to each other what the fuck is it
nothing left to be said
everyone knows you're dead
landlord cleaning up the mess
no security deposit returned

Nothing To See Here

Nothng To See Here
i don't tend to talk about politics
i'm not going to start now
things are still just as fucked
as they have ever been
what works for you
might just not work for me
why don't you worry about you
and leave the rest of us alone
the time taken to worry
about shit you can't even change
just try to make your life
the best that it can be
if this town is going to blow
then you will be the first to know
because bodies will lie broken
shrapnelled corpses in the street
then there will be nothing more
that you need to worry about
everything decided for you
i guess this is the end
nothing left to see here
please just move along
everyone is dead now
and this includes you

Mandatory Sentence

Mandatory Sentence
committed of a so-called crime, caught in the act again
that makes something punishable to the fullest extent of the law
always have to walk the line between the thin and narrow
but the laws of survival are different, that's something that will never change
the handcuffs go on, the door slams shut
never to be open again
is this really a trial or just a mandatory sentence?
a slow walk to the gallows where I'll surely hang
no kind of future for me in my days to come
they say that I've done it once and I will surely do it again
can't say for sure, but I guess that we will never know
not even given a chance to right the wrongs that I've made
getting sent to the front line, the punishment is so severe

sumppumprecords Des Moines, Iowa
Sump Pump Records was founded in 1998 by Dan Hutchison, Brian Wiksell and Bill Heard. We released a vinyl 7" EP for Why Make
Clocks in 1998 and a full-length CD for Chad O'Neall in 2000...then we got preoccupied w/our bands.
Now, itβs back to Dan and Tom Reelitz releasing records w/a DIY approach, by ourselves and other bands we love.
